Jeff Beck – Live – Montreux Jazz Festival, Miles Davis Hall, July 17, 2009

Jeff Beck and band made yet another great appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival on July 17, 2009. The band was, as in Montreux, July 15, 2007, Jeff Beck (guitar and bass), Jason Rebello (keyboards), Tal Wilkenfeld (bass) and Vinnie Colaiuta (drums).

July 17, 2009, being Tal Wilkenfeld´s birthday, included Mr. Beck playing/tapping Ms. Tal Wilkenfeld´s bass – she playing the bass lines and Mr. Beck soloing on the same fret board.

Vinnie Colaiuta´s solo spots were, as always, very well executed whether with Mr. Beck, The Five Peace Band or in various other contexts.

“Where Were You” featured a Jeff Beck/Jason Rebello duet.

The set list – this time – covered some of the territory mentioned below:
Eternity’s Breath Jam – intro
Beck´s Bolero
The Pump
Nadia
Big Block
Behind The Veil
Angel (Footsteps)
Led Boots
Goodbye Pork Pie Hat/Brush With The Blues
Blue Wind
Jerusalem
A Day In The Life
Where Were You – encore
Peter Gunn Theme – encore

The band drew a full house – in Montreux – this year – just as in 2007.
