The boldly inventive improvisations of guitarist Wayne Krantz
have long held a fascination for fans of dynamic, uncompromised
music. Ex-Sideman with Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, Michael Brecker,
Billy Cobham and many others, Krantz has focused on live performance
for nearly two decades, holding down a residency at New York City's
55 Bar and documenting the shows via a series of CDs and downloads
available exclusively on his website. Now, with Krantz Carlock
Lefebvre, his first album for Abstract Logix , he is returning
to a recording studio to document his own music for the first
time in over fifteen years .

Over 10 years ago we discovered the music of Wayne
Krantz through his album, Long to be
Be Loose. For us it was one of most refreshing
records we had heard at the time. So our subsequent trips
to NYC started to revolve around Thursday Nights at the 55
Bar. Not only Wayne, but we got to see the equally magnificent
Keith Carlock and Tim Lefebvre
and it was a freaking revelation to see this trio. It took
years of persistence and phone calls to Wayne to record this
trio in studio and to work with us. And finally it happened.
We welcome the amazing Wayne Krantz to our roster that already
features three of the most important voices in Guitar today
- John McLaughlin, Jimmy Herring and Alex Machacek.
We certainly hope that Krantz Carlock Lefebvre
gives you the same excitement that it has given us. Honestly
