AbstractLogix :: Art and Photography :: Ken McIntyre.
Artist Ken McIntyre’s Homage to the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
Limited edition prints of his sketches of the Mahavishnu Orchestra as created exclusively for Power, Passion and Beauty.
Ken McIntyre is a professional writer/animator. He is currently producing his own animated series for Comedy Central, and developing several projects for other networks. Ken grew up listening to his father's Mahavishnu Orchestra records and has been a fan for as long as he can remember. Whenever possible, he likes to include a hidden homage to the band and their music throughout his work. Below is an example
Frame shot from Internet cartoon series The Steven Seagal Show by artist Ken McIntyre.
All of the portraits in this Mahavishnu Orchestra series were hand-drawn by Ken in Adobe Photoshop CS2, using a Wacom drawing tablet to simulate realistic pencil strokes. Before sitting down to create the drawings, Ken referenced several hundred photos of the band members, spanning their entire careers, paying special attention to their Mahavishnu years. From these he was able to capture the unwavering inner spirit and burning passion of John, Jerry, Rick, Jan, and Billy.
Each image is digitally printed on 8” x 11” Archival Matte paper, signed and numbered by Ken McIntyre and ready for framing. (Note: Though archival paper is chemically treated; it is still highly recommended that these images be displayed in glass picture frames to best preserve their integrity.)
Shipping, handling and insurance are all included in the price!
Please allow up to 4 weeks delivery as each print is created and signed at the time of the order.
