The production by Murray Lerner is highly commendable for being straightforward, smoothly edited, and having great segues at well-chosen cut off points. No musician seems to go on too long, or seems to be cut off too short. He let’s the musicians speak freely about Miles Davis and the music. Somehow, in this production, the musicians were motivated to speak with passion about Miles and this music. It is not your typical boring interview style production where each musician is asked the same question. Instead, the musicians speak about whatever they want, and the interviews are interwoven between video clips and other interviews creating a single, in-depth, discussion that is compelling to watch.

The musical performance at the Isle of Wight needs no “review,? it is Miles Davis!
